thanks alot Geek i was wondering what did you have to do to get your front lip on the bottom did you have a mold or a peice come with.im hoping to have the hull done sat and also lay up my footholds sat.then i can start on the powerplant!

Sergio provided a front lip mold that I glassed in place and it was EXTREMELY helpful. If I didn't have that, I would have bonded the top and bottom, then built the bottom nose piece using the top as a backing. If you do it that way, make sure you glass the outside AND the inside of the nose (in front of the waterbox). That will strengthen it a lot.

thanks thegoldenboy its getting closer every day.your hood went out yesterday i gotta look to see when delivery is scheaduled

Don't worry about the delivery schedule. Its -19 here, there won't be any glassing going on for a month+.... Plus the superjet is under 6" of snow, and my motivation to drag it out is at an all time low.

I know you still have things to do, but what do you figure this would cost in the end? Maybe consider making me one :cool2:

We'll be in touch, can't wait for the final product.

im gonna be running dual oneways and dumping them into the pump area and also running my cooling lines and a tube for the trim cable other than sanding it to get it ready to reinforce can anyone think of anything else to do while the top is off cause the next stop in puttin the top and bottom togather for good?

Are you running front exhaust only? If keeping rear ehaust you might want to think about relocating the ehaust tube (lower) in rear, this way you can move footholds up futher if desired.

didnt stop me, i glassed my tray about 2 weeks ago!

2 weeks ago it was warm

Doesn't matter, when I get going I'll finsih it all in a couple weeks, just waiting for all parts to arrive before I start. I hate beginning something and than having to order it and have it sent up stalling your build.

You know how it is living up here. Were not in FL, we can't have small parts shipped to us next day without paying as assload of cash..

Plus I havn't decided on paint yet, so no rush. Change my mind everyday.

Where are the pics? Did you get this killer project all together yet? Is this the same boat you want to experiment with a set back the pump? (sorry for all the questions). GOOD JOB!:cheer:
Trimming off the tail of the boat is almost like setting back the pump. I've seen that little changes to the areas that touch water can make a big difference in handling. (examples,a d-cut ride plate...or even just one layer of 6 oz.mat to fix a worn bottom).
