I'll Post pics of how I route the lines later. Notice, no reserve switch on the dash, no reserve lines to run; just supply and return. Simplicity is a great thing :biggrin:

I was finding that when I gased up my 5 gallon tank the boat just handled differently. I could obviously do better subs with a full tank as opposed to a 1/4 tank. Big throws were different, stabs felt different, mariots, monkey jumps ect......I just did not like to inconsitancy in the way the boat felt as it went through gas. I could just gas the tank up 1/2 way but again I like how clean the lines can be routed and if I never fill up w/ 5 gallons why do I need a 5 gallon tank?. There is a reason for everything. I hate to bring up these guys but this is my observation/experience. Malone runs a 1 gallon tank, lenzi runs a 2 gallon tank. Whay is that? Lets say a gallon of gas weights 7lbs. If you are running 5 gallons, that 35lbs on the nose of the boat..in fuel. As you burn the gas you lose weight so your ski can vary between +35lbs and -35lbs. On Malone's ski he can only hold 1 gallon of gas. That is a varance of +7 or -7lbs. My point is simply predictablity and the lighter, more consisitant you can make the boat the better. I could achually tell when I was low on fuel (2 gallon tank)based on how the boat felt so there is definatly some method to this madness.
I typically do not ride with a group of people. I mainly hit the water a focus on specific trick. When I do ride in a group it can suck b/c while other guys are catching boat wakes I am running back to shore to gas up. O-well, the consistency in how the ski feels is worth the hastle.

fyi-
most of us learned br's bf's on POS. mine was a 91 square nose w/ a old ass r&d pipe... race prop and no bottom end... I learned just fine.. you kids these days think ya need a 10k ski to do these tricks... damn kids w/ there video games and 8-track players...

seriously, if you are into working on your boat and modding everything you can get your hands on..... and you ride close to your fuel can, i can see the benefit. its hip. its different. its cool. its now. its wow. but refueling sucks.
its a balance. id rather just carry more fuel than free up space in my bilge.
