Something like that...but definetely NOT about you and your Superjets.

Okay, threadjack over.

Yo 2002zxi

its not riding season until late march anyway, even april..

around here people sell almost bone stock SJ's cuz they are fags or they dont know how to ride. they weather keeps lower than normal hours on them.

RMBC seems to find all the deals anyway.

Hooked on the Jamz
Sounds like a ********ty time....but I bet it was more fun than you had on your best day riding the zxi :cheer:

I thought this thread was about jetpump dynamics.

Matt, I am basically clueless about engines, waterflow, etc...BUT I know that we tow fast all the time and have never had an issue with an SJ because of it. I do think an impeller came loose from a kawi being towed once though.

What up wit dat?

What makes you think I know anything about it?
I just slept at a Holiday Inn last night.

Anyways....:The water intrusion comes from water influx into the stinger/waterbox. That's not a whole lot of water - even less if you have a restrictor in the line or a Jetworks valve.
So, even under the worst circumstances, it takes quite a bit of speed and time to actually backfill the engine through the exhaust. (The water has to "climb" through the headpipe first)
Perhaps certain cooling routing configurations are more susceptible than others. :dunno:
I imagine that the position of the impeller has an impact, too. I.E, if the blade stops right on top of the cooling fitting, it may not be very pronounced.
I think the chances of it happening are pretty low, or you tow long & hard.

Just something to be aware of. (Every PWC does this)

And of course, with my luck it's happened just about every single time I get towed.

the problem is that none of you are using extractor exhaust systems.......:sneaky:

you guys are silly.

matt is right about the pressure differences and nick is right about not having water in his cylinders after a long tow.

nick is probably using a flow control valve that isnt opening at the low pressure caused by towing and therefore his waterbox is staying dry.
