so guys, anyone want to stop this ridiculous thread hijacking and sell me a superjet?
where are you now and didnt you just sell a couple of roundies?
I thought this thread was about jetpump dynamics.
I thought this thread was about jetpump dynamics.
The water intrusion comes from water influx into the stinger/waterbox. That's not a whole lot of water - even less if you have a restrictor in the line or a Jetworks valve.
So, even under the worst circumstances, it takes quite a bit of speed and time to actually backfill the engine through the exhaust. (The water has to "climb" through the headpipe first)
I think the chances of it happening are pretty low, or you tow long & hard.
Just something to be aware of. (Every PWC does this)
And of course, with my luck it's happened just about every single time I get towed.

you guys are silly.
matt is right about the pressure differences and nick is right about not having water in his cylinders after a long tow.
nick is probably using a flow control valve that isnt opening at the low pressure caused by towing and therefore his waterbox is staying dry.
