there are many ways to do this conversion....

you could modify the pump...but you will still have a stock pump inlet, although just the pump mod only WILL make a pretty nice difference....the BOB pump is exactly the same as the blowsion pump (bob designed it for blowsion)...



the best way is to cut the entire pump box out of a SJ or blaster and glass the whole thing in.....then you end up with a 144 pump tunnel, a 144 pump cavity and if you do it right you can put in a superjet drive shaft....



setting back the pump makes a HUGE....get that HUGE difference in this hull

Good idea i think i'll try that but that fiberglass makes me itch... if the drive shaft is longer and the pump is set back what do you put between the pump and shoe??

nothing..when you install the new pump cavity you relocate the pump mounts as well.....

Oh nice! I did not know you did that. I've read before that it required another ring. Though, I don't know much!

An SJ grate will be against the bulkhead with the shoe in its stock location. It would be easier to move the pump aft, use a SJ shaft, and fill the open space.

The SJ just feels like a big ol' boat to me when i get on em so i dont want to swap hulls...

im just so used to my FX with tom's tubbies it rides so smooth and stable now, i love it...cut the pole down and my riding position feels great..i wat to keep rollin wit theFX but dont want the pump isses forever



just dont know what to do to get over the pump limitations???!!!???

i have made the motor mods i wanted to - i upgraded to the 62T and 61X combo now...so all i really need is what way to fix the pump issues...

i guess ill just keep reading to see the pros and cons of both ways...bonzi type mod or full hull mod!!??!!??
