Lamey vs 66E

I have a GP800 with twins that has a TDR waterbox its loud at idle but not bad when far away. Prem1x said it wasn't even loud. I think we are going out this week maybe I can get a video of it on the water to give you an idea of the sound

try pat from x metal i know he was making one for the super jet it is louder than the waterbox but it has got to be quite a bit lighter and gice you more flow for more power . try a smaller battery if you can go smaller you would be amazed at the weight in those or smaller fuel tank .
ITS A HELL OF A LOT OF WORK TO REMOVE MY WATERBOX ! ill have to cut it apart through the battery hole to remove it , then im going to put in a straight pipe to replace it,along with a water port on the pipe , ill throw on a rubber flap on the back just for grins , if its still too loud ill go back to a smaller water box, but i think ill be ok with that . its a plan anyways ! thanks all !:woot: :woot:

All of this talk is very interesting, but are any of the 66e conversion parts going to be readily available? I think you'd see infinitely more conversions IF the parts were all on the shelf and ready to ship. I hope that WK can pull it together for this one. He'd make a small fortune if he could.

I have not talked to him about it but I imagine that he will build some packages this winter in between customer builds. I tell you guys what keep your eyes peeled for what he brings to Havasu :sneaky: He is going to silence allot of critics and I have the feeling he is going to be swamped with business. Some of the craziest sh*& you have seen to date

Thats what I'm thinking:biggthumpup:Someone I know looked into doing it but then he found out it was just easier to do the lamey. I definetly think there is more potential with a 66e but the parts dont seam to be as available.

I am putting a light weight hull as the next item on my list. My standard stroke lamey PV motor w/ MSD TL in a light hull would be all I need.

All this is great chatter, but can I request that when you say "800" you clarify your platform, 62T/Lamey or 66E?

Also, is it worth bringing in other platforms to discuss here? I've seen BB Octane motors stuffed into SJ's, etc. Is the criteria for "this vs. that" here also including feasibility, possiblity and cost?

i'd love to hear about more about the other platforms, it's cool that people are trying other things
