I actually took the intake off, because my new v-force reed cages will be here . Im going thru my carbs making sure I didnt install something wrong.

So today I finally had time to fool with my ski. My Buddy al came by and I think we figured out what was wrong with my ski. First thing we were going to do was pour a little fuel in the spark plug holes to see if it would crank . While pulling the plugs we decided to check the spark. After a few test we think that is the problem . Not enough spark. It does spark a little but not as much as it should. Having a second person look helps a lot. so I'm guessing now that the coil is bad. I have a replacement oem so I will try that tomorrow.

so here we go again. I changed the coil yesterday morning and once again nothing. NO spark. Well let me make myself clear. It had a faint spark when I leave one plug in and try the test. There is a little spark but not much. Today we tried taking the ebox apart and replacing a bunch of parts. I tried everything new in the ebox. I even tried a oem cdi and nothing . the same thing. So what is my next step? WOuld the stator be the problem? Im running a lighten 61x flywheel with a 650 stator from my old square.

6m6 and 61x stators and flywheels are interchangeable.

the only things that affect spark are: flywheel, stator, cdi, coil, spark plugs and all the wires that connect them. some of the parts are testable, swap known good parts until you find the culprit.

If spark is weak and intermittent I start with the cdi then stator

i tried a new oem cdi this morning and it did the same thing, so i guess ill have to get another stator.

did you trim back the wires and reattach your plug wires? not sure if you have screw on or crimp on boots, but both styles wear out and can cause the symptoms you have desribed. I have had good luck with the msd crimp on boots.

It's alive it's alive!!! The problem was the stator. It had a cut wire . Some how it looks like the flywheel sliced it. I replaced the stator today and push start and the magic happened. No priming at all. The ski didn't run away . It was very reasponsive to my throttle. So Friday I will put the ski in the water for the first time. Thanks everyone . I will keep you guys posted on the ride report.

Already got'em! Thanks for help. The next thing I will be calling you about is the mag pump setup you sell. Ill try this oem with hooker for a few , then the mag must come. Ive been on cloud nine all morning thinking about riding my new JetManiac Motor!!
