TriXstar6.jpgTriXstar00.jpgTriXstar4.jpgTriXstar5.jpgHallo,
In december our teamrider robert were at Mallorca (mediteran sea) for wintertraining.
He was allone on the beach with his girlfriend.

After roberts training his girl goes on the ski......lost control and fall into water:no::no::no:

Ski is gone straigth in direction open sea,not possipple to swim so fast.
After 15min he lost the ski out of area he see.

Mallorca at winter is like nuclear war.......nobody in harbor to rent a boat.

So we lost this new Fullcarbon TriXstar with Billet148mag and MSR(Sickerlings mechanic) build engine:confused::confused::confused:

Harry Potter tried this technique to ship himself a Superfreak from Daytona but it went to shore instead. It happens.

Lanyards are for wusses though, right? We don't need no stinkin' lanyards!

I did some reading on the German forum.
No lanyard, no help around.
And it's unfortunately the second time the OP has lost one. First time it crashed against a rock pile at full throttle.

Yes, years ago we lost a other hull.........but now we work on a transponder lanyard. If the ski is more than 2m ago from me it stops.

Hope it works.......

would have worked but i have no sense of direction lol
sorry about your ski lanyards are a good and bad . i had an experiance in ireland pancaked a flip popped up next to the ski still running . tried to roll the ski over but the lanyard had wrapped around the other side of the bars so as i pushed down on one side the lanyard pulled it back ! all the time the engine is running and ski filling with water by the time i had figured out what was going on another 6ft wave crashed on me luckily i kept hold of ski and mangaged to surf a few waves back in to a waterlogged ski ! on the other hand there are times when a lanyard would be nice (see above )

I forgot!
the older i get the more i have to loose so i where a lanyard. so what if my engine stalls on a gay hood trick, at least my ski won't ride off into the sunset or kill some kid swimming. i never used to, but now i always do.

So many good and bads. I worry about the runaway more than anything. I have had my lanyard get twisted up after failing some trick and keep partial throttle. Suuuuuuucks being drug around while trying to pull the lanyard. But the runaway could be a lot worse.

Can NOT wait for someone to come out with some sort of reliable proximity switch.
