I need some turf.

I agree, the website itself sucks, and with all of the options they have, their ordering system sucks. Less than half of the options are available on the web, The gentleman I talked to online was extremely helpful and explained how I could get my point across via online ordering. So in my humble opinion the website sucks, but the company itself seems to be good, on top of the fact that their product has no equal. It is what it is, just order some when you dont need it and have it around for when you do.

Operating through dealers is not a viable option for HT. Too many choices. NO dealer will stocl purple and white waffle for the dude that wants to match his oem RAILS on a 96 SJ.
Its 2 weeks from HT to your door PERIOD, always has been and always will be. You may get lucky on stock items such as black diamond and see it in a week.
Bottom line is SKat Track is 2-8weeks, crankworks is 2-8 weeks and so on and so on. Our business for the most part does not fit the worlds JIT expectations.

My ONLY GRIPE with HT is the email or online ordering only. While it improves there correct order shipped ratio it leaves doubt and IMO makes it tough to relay exactly what you want on special orders as there website is NOT user freindly at all IMO.

Other than that I think the product is decent and the lead times are in line.

sorry.. we are talking turf (low $$$$, high volume) not cranks or pumps (which are certainly a lot more custom and high $$$). Special orders are exactly that, no-one can expect them to have all color/style options in stock (if it were my business I would try to).

Threads like this about HT get started every so often, I honestly thought about getting into the "turf business". Maybe a little competition (Blacktip/SBT) might cause them to modify their ordering/shipping process?

You are WAY too used to WDK lead times to think a week to ship an order (not including transit) is in line.... :pancake:

Mike and Corey have been very helpful over the phone and their product is top notch. My issue has been resolved to the best of their ability. Hopefully Tom can get me hooked up or I'll be trying to bum rides this weekend.

Not sure what all the issues are with people complaining about the website sucking. You see, you click, you buy, and you wait. How much easier can it get? They even have a huge picture on the main page of hydroturf sheet to take you where you need to go if the left hand menu's are difficult. If the product option is not on the website, consider it a custom order. A custom order is always going to be a custom order regardless of how often something similar is made. You ask just about any other company to create a custom order for you and you'll be waiting a month or more for them to get around to it.

edit: Just in case... I'm not making any bashing remarks against the OP. I just don't understand why everyone thinks the point and click website is not user friendly.

I think the site works well and is easy to use, I don't think the problem with my order had anything to do with the website. Still looking for turf, tomorrow is my cutoff.

I appreciate it but since I don't want to turf twice I am going to pass on gray, Friday is also to late for me, may just end up bummin around and staying warm :)

I dont understand why people wait until 2 weeks before a ride to start ordering materals. Not like this ride was just thrown together.
9 days is an unreasonable amount of time to receive an order?

I place a ridiculous number of internet orders so I've gotten used to what to expect. When coming from west coast to east coast, I'd say 9 days is pushing it. Assumming they ship it out the day after you order it, which most companies charge a premium for... You're looking at 5 business days for ground shipping across country, 2 weekend days where it doesn't move, and 1 day to gather your order together if it's sitting on the shelf. That's 8 days and that's if everything goes perfectly. With small to medium size stores, on a standard order, 2-3 days to gather your order and ship it out is what I consider to be normal unless you pay for rush/expedited. If you place the order after 1:00PM store time, it typically won't even get processed until the next day.

Dude, just put a couple small pieces of turf on your ski WHERE YOU NEED IT...in the holds, by the straps, and little piece on the rails for cushion and go ride. Its just turf. You only need it under your feet. I once saw a guy ride all weekend in Niagara with two tiny pieces glued in his footholds.

I did that years ago. Ripped my Turf off to get ready to paint. Tricky hit me up and said lets ride. Glued some scraps in and rode.

Not on a standard order it is not (Standard being you just place and order regularly). Order something from Blowsion. It may be 1-2 days faster. They just grab the parts you need and throw them in a box and out it goes. Not sure if the Turf is on bulk rolls and they have to cut your order and then package. Does not sound like it would take much time, but when there are orders in front of yours (or mine) then it may be a day or so before they get your order packed up.

Any time I need something rushed, regardless of if the order procedure is online or fax in. I contact the Rep and give them a heads up. That way, they have a heads up on the order and can run it through faster. IF I need it really quick, then I will tell them send it out 2nd day Air.

I order materials every day for work. Some materials I have a lot of time, and if so, just send it in, If I need it in a hurry, Email, Call, Text Message, and let them know we need the materails ASAP and then figured out the shipping method. Communication is the Key here and what are you willing to Pay to get it in your hands.

I rode the 300sx around for a while with no turf after I flatdecked it, without turf if you fell off there really wasn't any way to get back on the ski. I don't see this as a good idea if you are riding in the surf, regardless of what ski it is.
