After placing my order on the 3rd my turf won't be here till the 17th. Does anybody in Daytona have a roll I can buy?

hit up TOM21 he usually has the stuff in stock and can probably bring it Friday or send it over with one of our crew on Thursday.

I think XScream has stock too.

i got some homo....and yes i placed an order on the 3rd as well and they promised it by the 11th and i really doubt ill get it before the 20th. HT is guaranteed to be late

i would expect SBT (BlackTip) to have their turf on hand since theyll be there and they got a really cool new turf design coming out real soon they should have to display

Hey guys, I see there are some issues with ordering. I notice a couple of you state that you placed your order n the 3rd and said we promised to have it to you by the 11th.
We were closed for the holidays from 12/23-01/03 Here is the Holiday message that was on our website.
***Hydro-Turf / HT Moto will be closed for the Holiday season (12/24/10-01/02/11) Orders received during this time will be processed upon our return (01/03/11) and will ship out by 01/11/11 if not before***
Unless you placed a RUSH order your order would have not shipped out until the 11th.

YAMANUBE: If you can please email me or give me a call in regards to this issue I would like to discuss this with you.

CARTERB: Who here promised you that you would get your order by the 11th??? If you can email me as well I would like to look into these issues.

I will also be out at the Daytona Free-Ride so I can speak to any of you there as well. Please know that any time you have an issue with our product or during the order process you can email me at Mike@hydroturf.com and I can take care of it.

I dont understand why people wait until 2 weeks before a ride to start ordering materals. Not like this ride was just thrown together.

For as long as I have been dealing with Hydro Turf they have never failed to make right an order that was messed up. (And I have only had about 2 orders that had issues - Mike and Laurel both took care of me).

If I was ordering something and needed it before a ride, order it 2nd day.

If you think 2 weeks is bad, try ordering turf from a site other than hydroturf. Took 2 months and they sent the wrong color. I will only deal directly with Hydroturf from now on.

They always make it right. It is hard to deal with them though as you HAVE TO ORDER ONLINE / via email so this makes for a time consuming deal as if you have questions you have to go back and forth for a day or so to make sure your on the same page. However I have noticed the percentage of orders shipping correctly has improved since this took place. Just hard to make sure its understood what you want on special orders or as a dealer since there is no dealer order section on the website. I also do not think the website is user freindly.

My last 2 orders were correct and shipped timely (before promised date) ALWAYS ALLOW 2 weeks with HT! If special order (I.E. black and yellow diamond) better add a week.

Thats because they had to order it through HT and make sure they spelled it out right in the email once you tried to make sure they understood you correctly to begin with. As a HT dealer I stock only BLACK and might have some reminences or half sheets left over in other stuff. I cannot push turf, WAY TOO RISKY and time consuming other than black molded diamond.

is it worse if you have the turf but wait until the week of to start foothold install, turf, engine and pump install and make your fixed steer hoods for both skis? whew I was worried there for a minute. lol

I chalk it up to holiday, new year and pre-ride stress.

Everybody knows Hydroturf is the goods.

And I will have the new Blacktip turf on my square conversion, its pretty cool come check it out.

Perhaps we should offer some constructive input to Mike on ways that the ordering process can be improved? The product on the other hand, it is as great as has always been!

You are right, their product is the best, I never hear anyone complain about it. Service could improve. We are in an "online/just in time" world. I realize HT is a small biz and has some unique circumstances, but their "service" is less than what people expect from most any company, especially when considering they are pushing you to online ordering. I think it is reasonable to expect a company to ship small orders same day if product is in stock and the order is received by early afternoon. I think everyone is OK with waiting for a custom order.

One option is to be a "manufacturer" only and pass off the orders to stocking distributors/dealers (providing better and more local/regional service). Personally, I only order HT from my local dealer (always has it in stock).


If someone places an online order with my company (wholesale only) during business hours it is packed, shipped and tracking number emailed within the hour (we are mostly phone sales).... our problem is they call back to change the order and it is already done. Our same day "cut-off" is 5PM. Even with all of that "service" we still get customers that bitch about our shipping.:rolleyes:

We are always open to suggestions. I know the web site is not that user friendly. We are in the process of developing a new site, hopefully that will be done here in the very near future.
I also understand that ordering from our web site is sometimes inconvenient but you have to understand we were having an overwhelming amount of mistakes when taking verbal orders, whether on our part or the customers. Since implementing "All orders in Writting" policy we have reduced the amount of mistakes by 90% We are human and make mistakes sometimes still but we always make it right.
We try to have anything and everything a customer would want but maybe having so many options makes it difficult to make an ordering decision or as a dealer trying to stock material.
We love this sport, customers, dealers and riders and want to make the best product possible for all of you. I appreciate all feedback whether it is positive or negative. Constructive criticism is great as there is always room for improvement.
Again, if there is ever any issue at all please let me know so it can be addressed promptly.

Operating through dealers is not a viable option for HT. Too many choices. NO dealer will stocl purple and white waffle for the dude that wants to match his oem RAILS on a 96 SJ.
Its 2 weeks from HT to your door PERIOD, always has been and always will be. You may get lucky on stock items such as black diamond and see it in a week.
Bottom line is SKat Track is 2-8weeks, crankworks is 2-8 weeks and so on and so on. Our business for the most part does not fit the worlds JIT expectations.

My ONLY GRIPE with HT is the email or online ordering only. While it improves there correct order shipped ratio it leaves doubt and IMO makes it tough to relay exactly what you want on special orders as there website is NOT user freindly at all IMO.

Other than that I think the product is decent and the lead times are in line.
