Super Jet Questions on building up the right surf motor

I have two motor options to build for my superjet build. Mainly surf boat, some v-wake, and a lil flatwater.

ONE: a blownup 64v/61x that ingested a bolt, need at least one sleeve and i am going to trade the crank for a rebuilt anyway.

Should i keep the 61x cyl? The cases have some light porting per seller, but he also said they were 62t cases. What size should i go for topend? Custom sleeves already ported? so many options. so little knowledge.

TWO: stock 62t/62t motor that i have never run. But seller says was good motor.

I have a whole bunch of parts already, lightened flywheel, msd, stock 38s, milled 61x head, bpipe.

I am new to motor building and i really don't even know what i have. I have a local guy who can resleeve and stuff for me so i don't have to ship. Kinda want to build the broke motor and save the 62t/62t for just incase or for back for my sj and blaster.

i will take a pic when i get home. But that is what it says on the cases. Maybe i am mistaken and it is what the seller said and a 62t set of cases.

did a quick search.

64V is the same as what we call the 62T cases. That the actual part designation if you were were to order the case, crank and cylinder, etc etc ........... Entire Shortblock.

The other is just a Raider/701 Runabout motor. 62T/62T.

I *think* 64V cases are basically the same as 62T, they may have the clearance for the 760 bore and dual pulse fittings for the carbs.

I would run them with the 61X cyl.

what about resleeving? Should i order just some stock specs or go up a little bit? 82-83mm i don't think i want to be affording the 85mm flat top stylee. I want to spend about 5-600 in rebuilding it if possible. Oh and i already have a new crank on the way.

What is stock spec on the 61x cyl. 81mm?

I am motor retarded guys, thanks for the help.

I don't think you'll be able to re-sleeve the 61x cylilnder, buy new pistons, and and a new crank for $500-$600.

But you should be able to pick up a new crank, new pistons, and a bore/hone for $500-$600

Already purchased a rebuilt crank. Just want to keep the cost under a grand.

ok, so it looks like i will be spending more than i want. but it has to happen. What sleeves should i get and from who? What other things should i be thinking about when making a decision on sleeves.

I just want a reliable surf setup. The sleeving part is currently my biggest dilemma.

Check with Pair-A-Dice, I have a set of his stock 61x cylinders that he may sell at a resonable price.
