Where are the good places to ride surf around the San Diego area?

oceanside!

You can hit oceanside or point loma. Oceanside you want to get there early to get parking and what a great place to ride. Point loma is cool too but you can have issues with kelp or seaweed. You can also launch near seaworld and go out to the O.B. jetty and head south this can get you into trouble if you get too close to the shore and its a long ride. Id have to say oside rules the surf in dago. It looks like your from havasu........ Lucky you what a fun place to be !!!!!!

Technically It's illegal to ride in the surf anywhere in San Diego County. However it is not enforced at both Point Loma and in the Camp Pendelton Marine base which every one refers to as Oceanside. Your good to go at Oceanside though, In the 8 years I've lived here I have never recieved a ticket for riding. Post when your coming to town and we'll ride.

Call me when you are going to head over! If for what ever reason you find yourself in O-side without one of the locals, be sure to keep north of the river mouth on base. That will keep the lifeguards more or less happy and you out of trouble.
