I need a zip code for where this will be going down. I looked around but didn't find much. My friend's old lady's dad lives in Lorain. How far away is the ride from there?

We went to Lorain last year and went to Cedar Point. I don't mind making a drive to Cleveland to go do some partying and... um... some riding. I got to get my friend in gear to get his ski ready!

I live right by the beach and that is 44102. I grew up in Lorain and it's about 30 miles west of where you need to be. It's all freeway though and traffic should not even be an issue at all.

Thankx Mad Mat!

I didn't think that the drive was that long last time..... According to:

http://www.mapquest.com/directions/...&1s=WV&1z=26554&2pn=&2a=&2c=&2s=&2z=44102&r=f

It is 3 hours 44 mins. Of course I only used the zip code and not some specific addrress. I really want to make it to this event!

So I have heard that there are waves on Lake Erie, is this true? Or do you need to wait until there is a storm swell? Also will there be boats there making waves for us?

Finally, re there any other X2 riders coming?

Thanks, DBR

Waves here are just hit or miss. We could have 6-8 footers or be dead flat with some boats.

We should all be praying for 20-30 MPH north/northeast/northwest winds. It may be hell on the beach but thats not why we ride, right?

Yeah,
Waves depend on the wind. It could be 12 footers or a sheet of glass. There is always big boats out and about if the weather is nice.

Come on out.

I am really hoping to make the event! I have to get my friend to get his ski together though.... His old lady is the Lorain connection. We could stay there for free. I am not sure about having our skis with us. If I remember correctly, Lorain was pretty ghetto compared to here in West Virginia.

Can any of you recommend where to stay? I would like to hit up the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame for sure while in town. Screw Cedar Point! I will never go there again! Waiting in line for 2+ hours to ride one ride which lasts one minute is BS! Especially since I am an Industrial Engineering student and Industrial Engineers are supposed to fix problems like waiting lines.

Let me know about the best place to stay. Also if any of you live close by and can provide storage for skis that would help too. I will get a motel room just don't really want to leave my ski sitting outside a motel in ghetto Lorain... You guys know what I mean.
