Steep climbs - in Florida? Maybe in the quarrys around Gainesville.....

If you want massive torque AND light weight a KTM 300 is the way to go. I rode one for 20 minutes at Croom last Saturday, what a tractor. I still prefer a 250 2T though for quicker revving in the sand.

I liked hill climbing as much as ridding anything else when I had my YZ 250. Then again I lived in WV and rode primarily trails all the time.

my boss officially hates his rm250 now.. another one bites the dust!! haha... he rode a few 450f's and 250f's.. he's gettin a 450f.. you can be fat and lazy when you want to be and on the flipside you can attack the track and light that bitch on fire when you're feeling crazy... personally, i'll take either a 250f or a 450f.. i like the challenge of riding a 250f properly but i like the lazy factor of a 450f.. its also a "safer" bike.. if youre late out of a corner, or didnt set up just right before a jump... just twist the thrrreeeeooootttle on the mofo and BRRRRAAAAAPPPPP john deere tractor power comes on like a freight train! where you at!!!!

i had to cut my day a teensy bit short today.... hahahaha

i seem to have issues with rear wheels... lol.. must be all that four stroke TORQUE!!!

saw a few SFL jetski guys out at the track again today.. 'twas funny to hear their perspectives on the 2 sports in comparison..

Butti has a 300 2 stroke.....I rode Nicks KTM 250 this weekend and loved it..I might have to start looking around for a 300 E-start here pretty soon

bob you'd be surprised on some of the hills you find.....I guarantee you NONE of them are in construction sites

found a nice ravine basically in my backyard (abandoned mountain bike trails) with about 70 degree slopes and 100' tall or so...steeper in other spots..
after about 3 weeks it looks almost like that track pic E posted up :beerchug:

I'd invite ya, but you need a street tag to get there :nana:

it was past the teeth looking like the "Quicksilver" emblem (think that is it, clothing from late 80's early 90's- or another line names similar to that!!!), all curled over looking like a wave cresting!!!!!!!! That would ruin a day!!!!!!!!!

yeah, that was quicksilver back in the day.

I'm betting that chain was stretched beyond it's lifspan too, and I can almost guarantee the spocket bolts werent properly torqued.

Edwin needs to worry less about posing for pictures and talking smack than he does about doing proper mantenance. :twak:

lol, you guys are a trip. that chain and sprocket has about 2 months worth of weekends on it. its true, i dont do any maintenance on my bike. hahahaah.

keyboard it up! its what makes this site so great!

saki you kinda desurve to be given crap over that rear sprocket , you have to admite that is kinda bad to let it get that far gone

That picture in post #79 is making me drool! It looks so well groomed. I'v been wanting to start riding/racing again for a while but (better)things just keep coming up. Weird question-Does anyone know if there are mx tracks in china?

I think this would be a fun street legal bike, cr500 with aluminum frame with lowered suspention.
