yup.... it finally happened

you central/north florida guys always seem to be a year or two behind the soflo influence.

it was just a matter of time. surprised it took this long. now we gotta wait till you get tired of riding in the silly woods and streets. by the time youre ready for mx, we'll probably be messing with jetpacks or ultralights or something. catch up already. sheesh.

I won't ever be doing MX. My back will never take that, so you might as well get that jet pack...

obviously dont need it off road, but dont you need some on road?

I was lookin at the 200 xcw about a month ago I didnt know I could possibly get it street legal.

Here's one I saved when I was looking at them a month ago that's close to you. This is helluva deal. Can't remember if they had the title for it or not, but it can be made street legal. I think it cost less than a $100 a year to insure one of these in KY.

Nick, ya know I have 200+ acres of killer trails here in Orange City. It's all sand though, so you need good soft terrain knobbies. LMK when you're ready......:bananalama:

is it gay to put a number on it if you don't race???

Ask Stricky that question! Congrats dude!!!

It's about freakin time! But you'll get bored of that quickly if you ever take it to an SX or MX track...then you'll want a dirt bike.

You guys up north have always been a bit behind the curb...but you eventally get there!

:wall:

let's go ahead and save this quote. :wiggle:

Honestly Edwin, if you were his friend, you would not even be trying to entice him on to a track. If his back was not in the shape it is in, I am sure he probably would join you on the track............

oh, elbows out!!!!!!!!!!:highhorse::Banane37:

Saki You really like the 4 strokes over the 2"s I'm lookin at getting a bike and I cant decide what kind to get. 2 - 4 250 450 125...

it would be safe to say i prefer 4 strokes over 2 strokes.

as for a 250f vs a 450f, that depends on your weight, height, and how you plan to ride it.

a 250f needs to be ridden much more aggressively than a 450f. if you plan to be a track attacker and a hard charger, go for a 250f. they like to be revved and run in the mid/top range.. if you just want an all-around fun bike and you're on the 190lb+ range.. go ahead and grab a 450f.. you can just putt around easier when youre on a 450f.. they can be lugged around like tractors... brrrraaaaap

For MX a 450 is the weapon of choice in that class. For amateur racing in the 250 class, a 2 stroke (leagal this year) will annihalate a 250F. 250Fs are expensive to maintain & cost thousands if they grenade.

A 2 stroke is better for off road. Lighter, easier starting, less stall prone, don't overheat in very tight woods. A top end is $125.

I love KDX's in the woods, they are light and nimble, but when it comes to sections where you make say a right or left turn and have a steep climb, I will take a thumper any day.

Steep climbs - in Florida? Maybe in the quarrys around Gainesville.....

If you want massive torque AND light weight a KTM 300 is the way to go. I rode one for 20 minutes at Croom last Saturday, what a tractor. I still prefer a 250 2T though for quicker revving in the sand.
