I always have on my tool box one extra crank, couples set or pistons and 4 props just in case:Banane01:
but most the times I'm riding over Jetmaniac house, or I'm at the beach with Jetmaniac
So its always good!:clown:

I hear ya with the duct tape. I had an issue with an electric window on my truck and I was stupid to use duct tape to hold a piece of plastic over it during a rainy day. The damn glue residue still hasn't all come off. It held though, lol.

I wasn't aware about WD40. I've read to hose your engine down with WD40 before going into salt, but wasn't aware that it wasn't a penetrating oil. Good to know. :)

The power inverter is nice if you need to use a plug in work light for any problems on the haul. I drive a "ford" so I know all too well about frequent on the move repairs. Duct tape I refuse to keep because the residue sucks to try and clean off and I've never had any luck with WD40. It wasn't until a few years ago I was told it's not a penetrating oil or true lubricant, it's just a solvent with rust inhibitors. But I do carry some Loc-Tite Super Penetrating oil with me, that stuff works amazingly. And for the record, I only ride fresh water

Try pre-spraying the engine with OMC fogging oil for your salt water run. That stuff sorta foams up and does a nice job of sticking. I used to use it on the ball hitch on my truck, it never rusted for 2 years until I stopped. It just stayed there too after a little dust sank into it, the WD will dry up pretty quick and/or eventually run off because it's pretty thin and watery. We use WD at the shop after we make anything out of mild steel and I've seen it last a few days in the summer then it's dry and the parts start to rust.

I use Fluid Film for the same thing. I now always have a can with me at all times.... amazing stuff

To no one in particular... But when you take that monday morning off just to ride and relax in 3 years and one little thing breaks, and you need that 10mm deep socket, and you jump in your truck in your wetsuit and a couple of hours later pay $20 for the socket at some garage in Brooklyn.... that's when you start to appreciate the little things... or a big toolbox.
