Whoa I'm getting excited! I was just down at the beach and the surf is really filling in, with set waves pushing around 8-10' faces. The shape is pretty walled though, there we're no surfers out anywhere. Unfortunately the walled shape is typical when it gets this big unless we have a combo swell, which we do not. The best bet for tomorrow will be to ride the North Jetti of the harbor on the base side (at DMJ's) South swells tend to hit parallel to that jetti and hold open for a while. Also wave refraction causes double ups which add a few feet to the wave size. Its also a next to impossible to surf the place because of the water currents and wave refraction off the jetti so no tow or paddle surfers will be fighting us for it. Who's ever planning on riding see you tomorrow!
