got a 68 dollar ticket for creating a wake in no wake zone tried to talk him out of it no way, he said it is normally 155 he reduced it for me nice guy eh.lets see today their was venice police, sarrassota police the coast guard and the game and fisherey cops, holy cow the cops are really aggresive, he loved the x2

Where I ride I have to idle and drag behind my ski for about 100-200 yards before I'm out of the no wake zone. It's possible but it's not fun.

it is written that your speed in the no wake zone is supposed to be the slowest possible speed that you can maintain control and manuverablility while creating the smallest possible wake. to lay behind the ski is unsafe and allows for 0 visibility. if you went to court for it i don't believe that it would stand up.

politely ask the officer to give it a try, and maintain manuverability / control w/o creating a wake before he writes the ticket

Best way is to ride in with the nose fully submerged like I do, they usually don't even know what it is thats coming in.

If you spend some time practicing you can kneel on the back of the ski and still move just slightly over idle speed not creating a wake. It takes some practice but it is very doable. Even if you lay behind the ski and look over/down the side you can still hit the throttle and get out of the way if you need to in a hurry.

I got one of those once but it was $130. $110 in court costs and $20 fine. If i fought it in court and lost I would still had to pay the $110 but they could then have made the fine $200!

I got a warning last ept for a no wake zone vilotaion. Seems they like to write tickets and not a lot of warnings. Water Cops Suck @$$!
