X-metal pole break and maybee foot

Surf was killer today. hit an 8ft'er and went to do a stab F-ed the landing and broke the pole. After my 3hr ride home I can barely walk on my left foot. 2 Advil some ice and a couple corona's if no change off the get an x-ray.

he needs to get rid of that cast part up their it seems to be the weakest link on them poles

Sort of what I did but I was trying for a roll and ended up in an over rotated stab and landed funny, get the xray to be sure.

Kinda hard to see from the picture, but that looks like an earlier generation pole. Patrick changed the casting and added a vertical strengthening rib. When he was developing the pole, that's where it kept breaking on me. Once he added the rib, I've had no issues.

The cool thing is, Patrick will ship a replacement ASAP - just call.

Matt, that pole is only 10 months old.

Thanks pete. If I cant walk on it tomorrow I will go and see one. It may just be a drinking weekend for me in VA.

how do you get him to give you a new one?...from my understanding if one broke he would take it and re weld that spot.
happend to my friend and thought he should have gotta new one

Take 4 advil instead of 2. When you take ibuprofen up to 800mg (4 tabs) it acts as both a painkiller and an anti-inflammatory.

Take 4 every 12 or if you want to go big, you can do Acetaminophen 1000mg (2tabs of extra strength Tylenol) 4x/day with Ibuprofen 600mg (3tabs) 4x/day. The two are synergistic in their effect but I don't recommend this combination if you have impaired liver function.

Probably won't, I have elevated liver enzymes already, but stable. Just over normal limits.

I cracked my Xmetal pole at daytona last year on my failed BF attempts and Patrick said to send it to him and he will decide if he fixes it or you get a new one .
He ended up welding mine but I got it back in about 3 weeks so it wasnt too bad .
