Is there a weight decrease when using the billit? I am getting ready to order a 145mm kawi Mag for my new ski, are you guys doing those in billet at the moment?

Yes it is a bit lighter. We have not weighed them against each other yet though to see specifics. We will be producing a Kawi style also, but that is still in the works no ETA right now.

I thought it was primarily the vane section and liner of the Skat Trak pump that adds the weight as they are stainless, right? They are still going to be there from Skat Trak. Billet is denser than cast aluminum, so are you making your sleeve very thin to reduce weight, since billet has more strength than cast?

The liner is still the same with far less mass on the housing. (billet)
The billet housing is without the 3 flanges to bolt it together, and the long bolts are replaced by shortys.
and remember the stock pump has to be reinforced with welded 1/8" material to be a 148.
The loss of weight will be minimal, (maybe a lb). We'll let ya know

Nice concept and design, regardless of weight savings.

i don't think the weight savings is the issue here.what i like is that the wear ring is part of the stator section so you no longer have to recut the housings to get rid of the circumferential groove with the oem modded mags setbacks.
does skat make a titanium version of a sj pump like they do for kawi's?
