It is from the impacts of jumping and landing. Go to a chiropractor and get your shoulders and neck adjusted. Make sure you get enough Omega 3 as well, your body uses 6 and 9 to inflame an injury and 3 to reduce the inflammation after it is settled. Most people are toxic in 6 and 9 and therefore inflame very easily. But lack the 3 to bring it back down, making recovery take way longer.

We don't heal as well as we did when we were younger because we are not as healthy. Period!

Add to that the extra weight of a helmet...Its a lot of stress on our bodies. I'm not stopping anytime soon though. :)

my hands/fingers always go numb from riding my bike or MX.... Never have that problem on the ski though... I think the handpole reduces a lot of stress on the shoulders compared to fixed steering systems..

On that point I will agree,it is especially stressful on the arms and shoulders remounting a fixed steering ski,it really doesn't matter if to side mount it or not the stresses are the same,I especially noticed this on the flat deck ski as there are no gunwales to rest your elbows on.:scratchchin:

They make a rubber dampened riser for snomobiles that does a good job of removing the vibration. Designed for snocross racers but I wonder if it could be adapted over to a ski? A sitdown for sure anyway.
