So when ever I do a nose stab, the ski loads up pretty bad. Takes 20-30 seconds to clear out. It sometimes happens when doing tailstands and subs as well. I suspect worn needle/seat. Any other suggestions?
The ski starts and runs very good otherwise. Will probably tear it down this winter for an overhaul (seals and rings).

Setup:
Keihin 40 mm (bought used, unknown if ever rebuilt), rejetted for application
Stock F/A
Mariner head
Westcoast pipe and manifold
Oil and case block offs

SMALL EXHAUST LEAK? IT would have more of an effect when submerged or under the stress of tail stands.

Could be. I did just check all hoses and clamps, did tigthen the clamps to make sure. I'll check the manifold and head pipe for leaks also.

I say its the carbs. Replace the needle and seat.

I was planning to tear the motor and carbs apart this winter. I was planning for new seals, rings (or pistons and bore if needed) and probably a carb rebuild with new needle/seat.

It seems like when I do a sub it rarely loads up, while it always loads up while nose stabbing. Funny. Oh, and I do stab to the left, BTW.

Also check the high speed check valve that is mounted on the back of the plate that sits over the hi and lo speed jets.
Clean it with contact cleaner and blow through it with your mouth, should get flow one way only.

Getting water inside for sure, but use the oem kawi X2 F/A which works fairly well and stays dry. I will also have my coil reworked by JSS this winter, could be that also.

I did rebuild my motor. Clean bore, new pistons, seals, rebuilt carb. Cleaned up the ports while at it. Installed a FCV. Actually spent some time rejtting. I started out with what I had in; 185 high speed jet. Now I am down to 170... It did run well in the past, now it is running like a raped ape!
Moral of the story, be sure that your jetting is right. Now I am almost spinning my prop, I feel there's some cavitation!?
