I'm out riding today and all of a sudden, my bars pull very hard to the right and won't budge from there.
Whaaat? What the hell is going on?

Nothing in the nozzle...check. Wait. Has it always been always been sticking out past the rear bond line?

Eh...doesn't matter, I sunk the motor on top of the steering trouble, get it back to the ramp.

So, back at home I take a closer look at it and notice that the entire freakin' pump assembly has come loose. I lost all four pump-to-hull bolts, and the only thing holding the pump to the ski was the steering cable.


Wow.

Anyhow, I got the engine de-watered and started. I got to get the pump back in and run it tomorrow.

That is the second time you have sunk your *new* motor!

Yeah, not sure what to think of this. I need to find me some bolts. I really need to run that motor tomorrow.

That same exact thing happened to Spooks the last time he rode in Cleveland. SXR though.

Wow thats crazy. It is amazing how quick things happen. You would think that it would have started vibrating and made a lot of noise before it let go completely. One of our riding buddies here recently lost the entire ride plate on an old Kawi 750 when one of his teenage nephews was riding. He said, it just started handling weird and he brought it back to shore to realize the ride plate ripped out along with all the inserts..:bigeyes:

I'm gonna start marking my calendar. Once a month I am gonna tighten every freakin nut and bolt on my ski. After losing my Worx grate and tearing the inserts off the shoe, I starting checking stuff while I waited for the 5200 to cure. There was just way too much loose ******** for my comfort level.
