i decided to bail on the fun sport of riding and stick to the hobby of blowing mad amounts of cash and wrenching in my garage alot. so far i have replaced a pole (twice) a new top end, turf, throttle cable, drive shaft, coupler shaft, coupler, dry pipe coupler. not to mention glass work. now i have to get my dual 48mm novi's rebuilt. :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: this has been such a bullchit summer. WTF!!!

I left my X2 stock the past two years for that very same reason. Then the thing rewarded me by crapping out last time I rode it. I will show it who is the boss though... I haven't fixed it yet! Plus tomorrow it is getting its carb yanked off and sold! I will teach it a thing or two!

I have a spare carb that is bigger/better anyways. I haven't fixed it because I went back to WV for vacation, then back to WV again for a job interview, then I had my wisdom teeth removed. On top of all that, lazyness won out... I will get it all figured out one of these days...

well the good thing is next year there is not much left that can go bad.

i just pulled 1/2 my ski apart to find a a loose hose clamp on the out let side of the water box. so im up and going again
what did you find out about the leaky shafts on those carbs

i removed a clip and washer on the one side and there are seals in there. i figured there is no way novi could sell a $1000 set of carbs that are no good after 5 years and they have to get thrown away. i will call novi and have them fix it. i'm not a carb expert and i would rather have them gone through by the people that made them.

Not Butch. I will never do business with him again. The guy I have been buying parts from for a long time evidently has more important things going on. Very disappointing because he is a good guy. Just time to move on.

The solution to your problem is obvious. You need more skis! So when one breaks you have a spare or three, or four. Only problem is when you end up with multiple broken skis like I have now....lol Then it gets stupid expensive $$$$. I feel for you though, nothing sucks more then spending days wrenching in the summer.
