I can't imagine some of the comments being thrown on here.

A guy supporting the sport and still building boats. Some of you got to beat him down. Not cool.

"Don't kick a gift horse in the mouth", seems the like the best fitting response I read.

Like the link suggests, I would akin this thread to "post dumping"

plenty of nice builders out that don't charge that kind of $$$ for their ware.

Thank you, SB Products and DASA/Racer's Edge tries to keep the sport as affordable as possible, but in response, plenty of people have said the cylinders are too expensive. As I am sure plenty think the billet case I built is too expensive.

In my view, the thread was started with that in mind. Regardless I doubt few people here would turn down a raise if it were given to them. If this builder, or any other builder, can stay in business during this time in our cycle, then more power to them.

I know of a few builders who get plenty of coin for their boats. Their market is also primarily overseas as "we" in the states primarily do our own work, by buying a stock boat(or a gently used boat) and build it on our own.

There is a market for it. What is wrong with going after that niche?

We have a saying in the car business, 'there is a seat for every butt and a butt for every seat'. If Wammer can get 250,000.00 for a turn key ski, then more power to him. There is nothing wrong w/selling something to someone that is willing to pay for it!

you do realize for that to stand true here Wammer or Kevin would actually have to post it here for sale. That is not the case so guess what. It is open season.........

My thoughts, I think it is great he has a market that will pay that..........


I personally do not think it is worth half that much....... If it had a Lamey, XScream, EME 1000 or even WDK1200 then it might be more justifiable........ but as it is. Your really not getting much for your money.......

Granted, I have ridden a few SJ's with Wammer's porting spec's. They make great power........ I would stack it up against an XScream of the same displacement.
