Would you get Wamiltons SJ or Regular RN?

Im looking at two skis right now and one is a wamiltons sj and the other is a regular RN. Spec wise they both have the same things done to them but the wamiltons is about 300 more and for me to drive and get it would be another 300. Just wondering if they hull weight would make a huge amount of difference. I want to do nothing but freestyle and surf (around me its chop) and thats it. Please throw in your input. thanks

Yea specs. are so similiar between the two i wouldt be gaining or losing anything. As far as weight i dont know the difference i was hoping someone on here would know. And if that weight difference makes that big of a difference.

Is that a Wamilton's prepped hull or an actual Wamilton's hull? If it is an actual Wamilton's hull built in his shop, then it will be lighter and should hold up well for an average to mildly aggressive rider. There are a few guys that could destroy it in a weekend, but it would last many years for most of us.

The most 'natural' feeling hull I have ridden is Tricky's Wamilton 8mil.

I enjoy trying to ride Crammit's XFT-but that hull is sooooo much better than I am.

I look on the wamiltons website you cant buy a hull hood and nose piece for what this guy is asking for his. It is a couple years old but i dont think that would make a difference. Does anyone know the exact or approximate weight?

you need to ask the seller if it is an aftermarket Wamilton's hull or a stock superjet hull prepared by Wamiltons. He does both and there is certainly a difference. Some people would call either one a Wamilton's Superjet. He has done different weights of his aftermarket hull for different applications and in different years. Find out what year it is and call Wamilton's I'm sure they could tell you a ball park number on the weight for that year.

Does he refoam stock SJ's when he preps them?

I would say either way it is a no brainer to get the hull that Wami has had his hands on.
