Super Jet Woops... how important is this piece?

So i was in a rush, like an idiot, to pull apart my motor to send out to get bored and ported and i forgot to pull the screw out of the top of the stator that holds it to the top half of the case.

the screw on the bottom is fine and the one on top will still hold the stator, just only on the inside, is that going to be enuf or do i need a new stator?

here is a few pics of my smart move...

61x or 62t?

Edit: never mind, backplanes should be identical. 61x will be easier to find and cheaper. I have a box with several in it.

I wouldn't run it but all is not lost. Find a junk stator and swap out the back plate.

It isn't super easy to swap the back plates out. The harness runs through a small hole in the plate so it is bit of a PITA.
you might also try a longer stator bolt with several washers.

They are different.

I ran a stator like that for years using a oval jetski solutions stator washer....its laser cut to fit that shape so it will bite what you have left there and hold it down....just a thought...

Use the oval washer idea and maybe some loctite so that screw doesn't go anywhere. When you find a replacement stator cheap snag it up and replace it.
