300/440/550 Won't run with hood on when hot!!! 550sx

i've been having nothing but problems with my 550sx since i got it. some background info:
fully rebuilt motor- reed
new gaskets and crank seals
factory half pipe
cdk II carb( im almost positive)

first problem. crank bearing was bad cause really, really slow starter. got that done. now it won't restart when hot. recently i've been letting it cool down at the dock. then it will start but as soon as i put the hood on it dies. carb is cleaned. i did notice that the diaghpram pushing on the needle is not perfect but looks decent. lmk what i should do.

check for an exhaust leak.

no exhaust leaks. and its instant so i dont know if a small leak could do that??

No. How would i go about doing that. To hold suction or pressure?

put in new spark plugs and try running it with out an air filter- If its better then you decide if it is the filter or if the carb is rich, maybe too big of a needle and seat.

its an exhaust leak... you may not see it but look closely
