i was skiing less than a mile away from the body when they discovered her. there were news people, newspaper people, FWC(dnr), copters, divers.

shi-ity

thats crazy man.....too bad you didnt happen upon the body..........that could have gotten the X some MAD attention..

back a few months ago around Xmas...a small plane crashed less than 1 mile off vilano beach (our local ride spot), went missing as well as the 3 people in it......there was a small craft advisory and the waves were JUMPIN'........just by chance the crew happend to ride out of matanzas inlet that day.......

the plane crashed at 1...

we were in the water at 1230........I think about that day often and wish we would have gotten a chance at a rescue mission superjet style :sneaky:

uh, i hear ya but im glad that i didnt find the dismembered body of a young woman floating in the only place left to ride in broward county.

actually, the cops have that ramp closed, too, for investigation. i guess they dont want any couchers getting caught in the gator traps. im not sure why not though.:cool2:

:haha:

Than just drive over Alligator alley to the other coast.
Lots of places to ride here plus I might learn how to ride.

ill meet ya half way!

actually, its funny that you mentioned that because one of the guys that works at markham park told me there are some ramps just west of the park on alligator alley.

Does anybody else smell foulplay here. Hot chick, on antidepressants, one says she was dragged into the water but then it sounds like not. If she was dangling her legs there would be trama where the gator initially bit her leg and there was no mention of it. No blood trail from being drug into the water. I think she was tossed in for gator food.:sneaky: Dont most people in these areas know of this danger....Im 2500 miles away but when Im in FL or any southeast state gator are the main thing on my mind.

zero access to the side lake. that sucks. i talked to one of the cleanup contractors the other day and he said about another month till it opens.

Sweet! I thought we were locked out for good, one month isnt so bad... And hey, maybe the gators will relax by then:bigeyes:

there are NO MORE pines in the park along the road on the left on the way to the side ramp. its open skies and level. and there are no more carpets at the second (clean) beach either.

thanks wilma!

I've toyed with the idea of bringing my couches to a place I work 200 miles away from my house to ride in my off time. No thanks after finding out it's a gator hot spot. It's 5 miles inside the arkansas side of the AR/LA border.
