Winter Vacation to New Smynra Beach. Is it worth bringing the skies?

My family has decided to rent a condo in New Smynra Beach for a Christmas get away. We will be down there Dec 20th - Jan 3rd for sure, possibly longer.

My brother and I are debating on bringing our SN's with. What is the riding scene like in the area? Is there anyone local that would be willing to show us around. We are both novice riders that will be on stock SN hulls (I may get around to installing footholds). Finding good surf isn't even that important to us, just want a warm place to ride and legal!.

If riding skies is going to a pita we may bring our moto bikes instead. My bro also has a windsurf he will most likely be dragging along. I've been following the other thread on prepration for the first time in salt, but any addtional information would be appriaciated.

Looking for any and all information we can get.

o f course bring your skis what else are you going to do i know at daytona they have a pwc zone i dont know about new smynra i am sure the fla boys would know daytona is just up the road

Well unfortunately the skies will not be coming with. The logistics of getting two dirt bikes and two SJ's down there just aren't working out. If anyone will be riding in the area, please let me know. I've never seen anybody ride surf or even seeing a "nice ski" in person. I'd love the opportunity to watch you guys rip for a while.
