I think more practice is what you need. If you just jump to the baddest set up your technique will start lacking. You will just be using the engine and not skill. Plenty of people have flatwater flipped without having 1000+ cc engines.
There is footage on YouTube of a guy named Spencer wells. He is backflipping a oem superjet hull with a stock stroke 85mm Lammy power valve 771, b-pipe and mag pump.

I'm on wammer hull, 96lbs with hood, pump shoe, latches, ect. and a ss865 with stock 38 carbs, stock ignition and a oem pump and I will get my flatwater flips on that set up.
Film yourself more and see what you are doing wrong then fix it. That's what I do.

You could take all that money you want to spend on that engine and use it to take days off of work and practice riding, gas and oil. Or you could take a trip to a freestyle clinic and get taught what you want to learn

i can relate to this statement 100%:squint:

i personally thought i was a better rider on my mild 701 RN setup a few years back...

now i can't stop chasing nicer equipment - it is a disease.
