will a yamaha super circle when you fall off

My mother fell off on her first attempt at riding... the lanyard slipped off her wrist.. It idled (quite quickly i might add) directly towards the most jagged section of shoreline in the entire lake... It finally circled at the last minute... aprox 5 feet from the rocks. I wouldn't wouldn't count on it circling back to you as your only safeguard. keep the lanyard, lower your idle so it dies... or do both.

id much rather have some discomfort/inconvenience/inability to do a few tricks than to have a busted hull, or a lawsuit to to injuring someone or damaging their property.

hey lakeboy, i have a tether i got from ebay its a "WetCord" brand. its really long and i can do about anything with it attached i recommend it for anyone that wants the safety without the restriction. i can swim all the way around my ski and not pull it, but if you ever eat it hard and get some distance between you and the ski its still there to stop it.

Be a responsible rider and wear a lanyard. It's selfish as hell not to. It's not just you/ your equipment that is at risk, it's everyone around you.

It will circle and years I rode with it rapped around the bars, but a couple years ago a friend broke his bars during a trick and pinned the throttle, the ski was badly damaged as it went on shore, so now I use it, better safe than sorry

Jesus Christ it looks like your nailing boulders under the water. That looks like so much fun. How deep is that?!

I ziptie, turn the idle up and dont let go!! In spring the water is deep! And cold! Drysuit in early spring, wetsuit in early summer and shorts in summer.

This is the best reply in this thread. I couldn't have said it better.

I'm not sure in other states, but to the best of my knowledge in Alabama... if your ski has one, the law says you better use it.

And you should never consume alcoholic beverages before riding.
