We talked about doing a sink test on my Matrix but i couldn't bring myself to do it. I did manage to get the stock SJ nose foam in the nose though, I don't see why you couldn't fit it into the Rickter as well.

Yea I was thinking about it do since Chic's sinking thread... I was wondering if my stock hull would float. I don't think the foam is in the nose. And I know there is'nt any nose foam in my wammer hull

hey mate,

they do float eventually they don't come back up real quick though so hold on and they don't tow real well either, have a tendancy to turn upside down and submarine. any joy with ya motor?

scupper = less volume for foam in the tray
scupper = more seals that could leak waterlogging the foam
when a ski is upside down, the air pressure in the engine compartment keeps water from just pouring in. if that pressure is not there due to a scupper your boat will take on water much faster.

If you are wondering if a certain ski will float or not, you should just assume it is already 100% filled with water (worst case scenario). So how fast water can get in shouldn't even be considered, it's already in there.

im in the midst of reinforcement on mine and the space up in the nose is TIGHT

I dont thinik a roundie nosefoam will fit past the pole bracket area........im going to cram a pool noodle up in there

the fuel filler should help with the scupper issues..
