Why RN poles on SN skis?

the only thing i dont like about my rn pole on my sn is i dont have the pole lock when i take off hood or work on ski, i just use a buggy cord when i work on ski

not if you use a RN bracket.

The stock SQ pole is the 2nd worst pole in standup history. (Right behind the 650/750/800 Kawi pole)

I have my stock SN bracket & the OEM RN bracket, what would be better to use?
Would they both require grinding the RN pole to make it extend all the way up?

RN hull mounts flat, SN mounts angled towards the rider, the rn brkt on an SN with the angled mount doesn't let the pole exten up very far...the rn pole on an sn mount scrapes the mount

....unless you grind the SN bracket to clear the RN pole

it comes up plenty far, not as HIGH as a stock configuration, but after a couple of rides, I dont even notice that.

alright then....
option #1 = get stock rn bracket ...shave or shim or reinforce sn hull to except, drill new holes, add backer plate, move hood hooks, move hood straps

option #2 = grind btm part of stock rn pole off, grind part of stock sn bracket off on btm, move hood hooks, move hood straps, add washers/spacers.

do i have this right?

makes more sense to grind the pole to clear the bracket to me...i may want to swap back if i break an RN & only have my SN as a spare.... if i ever get the RN pole on there in the 1st place....
