Although I think Dec-Jan is the worst time of the year for any kind of water related activity because it's the coldest time in the south, I'd rather have it in January than not at all...

The one thing I've noticed though about all freerides... You guys love some cold ass water!! FL in January, VA in Novemeber, MI in May, etc. It's like, when is the first day the water is borderline wetsuit temperature?? Perfect, let's do a freeride then! lol

In November water and wether is better

In November the water up here in NY is still warm, why would i want to head south when i can ride here? Daytona was in the mid 70's all last weekend.

man i thought the water was warm in daytona last weekend. Wetsuit, gloves, and booties and you are good to go. I never ride without a wetsuit as it adds some protection.(jellyfish, cuts, bruises, turf rash etc.)

i didnt wear a wetsuit all weekend. i wore shorts, a short rashguard (that chaffed my nipples... duct tape pics to come soon, im sure), gloves, shoes and a tour coat. the only part of me that was cold was my feet.... they felt like ice ready to shatter.

you are true to the sport, a Floridian wearing shorts jet skiing in January.

It would be cool to have a freeride in the summer but when you are talking about events at the ocean,it would be very difficult to find a place cheap enough and not already crowded in high season. there just isnt enough ocean to go around from may through sept, especially where there are accommodations to support it
