Why is the x2 forum lagging here?

I have some secret stuff in the works... Nothing too major just finally going to do a little bolt on mods I have been needing to do.

:barrel: :Banane19: :brap:

I don't have a mid-shaft so not sure on the height but did have some SJ motor mounts in there today.

boris, kawis dont use a "midshaft" quite like the yamis do.

they have a long driveshaft that has splines on the end that couple to the splines in the impeller.

i might have an extra X2 shaft if you need one.

Thanks Charlie, I'll keep that in mind.
Right now I'm still in the head scratching stage and am researching the whole Kawasaki world. It's quite different that the good old Yamaha universe.

Having a few motors to chose from (Yamaha 650 or 701 or a Sea-Doo 800) makes it a blast than add to that the few pumps I have, even more fun.
I bet that by the time I'm ready to assemble this thing I will have another X2 (maybe more) for parts.

Anyone ever try to bolt up a Yamaha midshaft to the X2 bulk head and run a Yamaha pump ?
Would that be a waste of time ?

Adaptor plate ?
Dude, I have self tapping screws, bondo and some crazy glue. No one can stop me.

I might have some time tomorrow so I'll grab some X cases with bed plates, some motor mounts and a raider midshaft. Throw them into my empty hull, shake vigorously and see what sticks.

a bedplate would need to be fabricated to make things easier.

im thinking that the aluminum kawi plate that jetskihaven sells would work if it didnt have the holes in the bottom. that way, you could drill holes to match up the case bolts.

I was thinking the same thing on the Jetskihaven plate,it will need to be drilled in a different pattern of course, the kicker is the Yami cases hit on the second boss where the engine bedplate bolts up right in front of the starter,on the stock plates they just drill a hole and let it stick through the bedplate no big deal,I am not sure you could do that on the aluminum plate without severely weakening it,the plate would also have to be extended on the front about an 3/4 to 1 inch to be able to mount it up.I am thinking if you cut the boss on the bottom case to about half the thickness it is now that it may clear the bedplate with maybe a shaved head bolt of course,I will have to look and see if I have a trashed case here somewhere to play with.If I can come up with a modded stock plate for a pattern we could send it to John and I am sure he would have some of them made up if the interest is there.
