Yea...my ski is a Turd.....Thats my problem. No bottom. The power is not there when I do a setup wake.....I have practiced alot and can get a decent litttle wake.

Jeramy Parr cleaned house at the APBA Nationals in 2004 with a stock set of cylinders............ (Yes, his skill level is way above the rest of ours, but he was rolling the ski none the less............. ) with messed up JSS Dual 38's.

Get your jetting straight, correct prop for your setup and you can make your ski do alot.

Too little duckets in the bucket. If I had the money Id compete. If forced to wait around too long ditch the comp and go ride elsewhere/find tittybar which ever is easier.

I don't do flatwater.... I just want to see youg guys like you get into it... We need to figure this whole thing out... there has got to be a way to make these comps more approachable for youg guys... I see most peoples excuses were not enough skillz... which to me means they lack the confidence to make that first step... we need to bridge that gap somehow... ????????????????????? How?????

hey Matt.......... for the longest time I could get farther around without the setup.......... problem is that I could not get the nose up enough to finish the rotation........ about a month or so ago I went to help Paul with his shop (actually, 2 months ago).......... on Sunday we went to Lanier.......... first Roll I attempted I did a setup wake........ I guess the moon and sun were alligned becuase I started to roll............ Still have alot of work to do.............. but I was gettign them off the setup wake.............. no real effort to make the wave, just got to hit it just right............

When to hit it....that's an excellent point. My wife recently pointed out to me that it seemed I was hitting the wake too early.
I went back out, readjusted, and voila! 3/4 around instead of 2/3.
I got that 1/4 still left to go, but I am getting there!:biggthumpup:

1. Drive half way across the northwest and spend the whole weekend to ride flatwater.

or:

2. Take the shorter drive to the beach, burn a few tanks in the surf, spend time with my good friends, and drink a few beers with my toes in the sand. Not a tough call.
