I'm trying to set us up so it automatically gives you a 'light' theme, but no luck so far. I'm using a Motorola Q but it uses a true html browser, not WAP or whatever.

Can someone check the site with your mobile and let me know if you get the light theme?

JETT,
This is not a post to help you, but to help me. I just ordered a Moto Q
To go off topic for a second, how do you like it?
Thanks,
Bri

I just got it on Friday, replaced my RAZR. So far it's good, definitely get an extended battery though. qusers.com everythingq.com and others are great.

when i try it, i only get the following:

Home:--:Forums:--:Tech FAQ:--:Old Gallery:--:Donate:--:Chat:--:GreenHulk.net

Get X-H2o stickers:--:***New Gallery***

when i click on the forums link, i only get the same thing.

That's what I used to get on my RAZR, and part of the reason for the new theme so it will actually work for most phones.

I have a t-mobile wing, and the site looks great, i use it all the time. The only thing that doesnt show up is the advertisement on top for the ebay ad stuff. Other than that, I use it all the time and it works well

That's what I get on my Q, but it is around 500Kb/page right now. The new light theme is like 20Kb I think for a normal page, much faster.

My treo 680 is loading about 280k when I hit the site. How about setting up a third level domain like mobile.x-h20.com to route to the light/wap page?

Thanks for trying to fix this btw. It'll be nice to have another site to make me look like I'm doing something important in meetings.

What do you mean by "light theme"?. My Apple I Phone seems to pick up everything on the site. Just cant play any video unless I go directly through utube.

The light theme will just be faster and much easier to use on a 'regular' phone like a RAZR.

I have it installed, it's called Mobi, you can select it on the bottom left of the page or in your user cp, but be warned, you can't switch back just yet so if you switch, you're stuck for now.

Ok, try it now on your pda/cell/etc. It should force you to the 'mobile' style automatically, unless you're using something like Opera Mini which acts like a regular html browser.

On my Q, using Pocket IE it shows the mobile style, but using Opera Mini it doesn't.

First shot is in PIE with the forced mobile style, middle is Opera Mini zoomed out, last is in Opera Mini zoomed in.

Just tried on my Blackberry using the default browser, and I don't get the mobile theme. No big deal though. I don't use my phone to surf this site much, and it works fine the way it is. I usually use Opera mini anyway.

I can probably set it to if you want, just gotta see what the user agent is when you're online with it sometime. I know sjweber uses his Blackberry quite a bit, maybe I'll work with him on it.
