Who makes the best Battery

Anyone? It's time for me to pony up for another battery and I'm gonna us it on a TL setup.

Jetworks or a rebranded Deka. I have one of each and they both work very well.

Both are around 80 bucks, so you can't really go wrong. My Jetworks is a gel, and the Deka is AGM. Numbers will tell you to go with gel as they will take more charges, ect...

You really can't go wrong with the Jetworks (~22ah) if you are using total loss, and if you don't feel like having it shipped, Advanced Auto sells Magna Power Batteries, which are just rebranded Deka's.

It is one of these two *I think* I don't remember the model number. IF you can wait on the shipping though, I'd go with the Jetworks. I know someone who is using a couple of them right NOW that are at least 4 years old and they've seen nothing but total loss. It is nice to have more than one quality battery though

I already have a Jetworks that works fine. I heard that there is a problem getting new Jetworks batteries right now, but I haven't called them about it. I thought if one of these lightweight Deka or Yuasa batteries will work for TL, why not shed a few pounds. No one who promotes the lightweight batteries seems to be using TL though.

You simply aren't going to find a small battery with enough amp hours IMO to make for very good run time. Well, you might, but it is going to be $$$.

I want a battery that will allow me to crank and crank and crank in the event of water intrusion or trouble shooting without going dead. It's so worth the extra 5lbs.

Its more than 5 lbs. Regular odysey weighs 14lbs . Battery out of yamaha R6 weighs 6 1/2 and does well. YUASA YTZ7S weigh 4 1/2 not for total loss unless you can swap out every couple hours, but is 10 times better than anything from walmart . Have not tried the lithium with total loss, but they can be set up as an 11 OZ 120 amp or the one i have is 240 amp 1 lb 7 oz.and was $230 They can be setup as big as you need . 480 amp would weigh less than 3 lbs but would cost over $400. It just depends on your needs , how long your rides are etc.

The cranking amps aren't what is important; It's the amp hours with Total loss. Who the hell wants to switch out a battery multiple times per day? It damn sure isn't me.. not for freaking 5-10 lbs.

I use Magna Power, which are just rebranded deka batteries. Deka is the best IMO, and I've used a lot. My computer charger tested an odyssey verse a Deka, and I liked the Deka numbers better. Also tested wally batteries and yuasa and still Deka wins for most amperage output and consistency in voltage and current output throughout the charge life. As far as charges cycle life, I have no idea. But I've been running the same exact Deka for about 4 years now.
