back from X-ray.
NOT broken, doc said a hematoma ( you nailed it IDOK)

the Xray showed some swelling, doc said to heat it, and the blood would re-absorb.

he said the old practice was to get a needle in it, and drain it, but that current thoughts are that opens too much potential for infection.

so im still limping, and trying to figure out how to tape a microwave to my leg.

thanks for the advice guys and gals.

Joe Kenny sucks liquid from his leg with needles...and you see how he rides......

I mean....comon

"intracranial I would assume right? ( for the still done needle draw thing)"

well if the hematoma is ever in a way going to effect the integrity of the surrounding tissue they will drain it, subdural hematoma's may just be watched or if for somereason it gets to big and causes a shift in the brain matter they will drain it

but usually it is just left to be reabsorbed

alas...

im simply one of the crowd.

drowning in my own fluids, as I wait for them to re-absorb.

its swelling worse!
now that I know it isnt broken, I was back at work kicking it, then went to the bar, kicked it some more.

im all good...

Well, SWEETIE, in theory it should work. Alcohol thins the blood, so it's got to be good in aiding the absorption of your big fat hemo:cheer:

Suzi had a huge hematoma on her thigh after getting kicked in the leg by a horse - that thing was nasty! It's still slightly swollen after two years - doc says it may never completely go away. I have another friend with a hematoma that never totally went away - after 20 years  Sometimes a nice clean break is better - at least I can predict cold fronts now

I crunched my ankle while a Daytona in January at the inlet the first day. It swelled up, turned pretty colors, and hurt like hell. I could walk on it but no more riding. Crown Royal was my best friend for a few days. I limped around for a few weeks and it finally felt normal after 6-8 weeks. From now on I will keep my feet in the footholds :banghead:

I am no longer limping, and the swelling and yellow/greenish color has gone away.

but there is still a mouse sized hump on my shin, from reading whats posted here, that may hang around a while.

and yes, I was riding barefooted in a boat with no holds.

when Im wearing sandels or shoes, I dont slip.

a wakeboard boat full of GIRLS in BIKINIS, slowed down and made me some good wakes.

and of course, I got carried away and did a psuedo superman, landing on the rear of the ski on my shin.

I never let go of the bars, but I did ride back to the dock on ONE foot.
