didnt they give awayt a set that works alittle diffrent from xmetal at daytona... i could be way off.. i know there not on his site thou

they are not the same thing.x-metal makes spacers so you can use oem arrestors witout cutting them.wammer makes an adapter so you can use oem arrestors on carbs with a machined in air horn like buckshot,full spec ect.

i'm not running them yet.. building a new motor with those 46's and they will go on that motor..

call me a beeoch.. but i don't really have any beef with cutting the stock F/A's. they do look nice though! :smile:

I'm running a buckshot 46mm on the blaster right now....it has nothing to do with cutting the stock F/A's, I just can't install them as it sits. So it looks like the xmetal setup won't work for me either :(
 
FWIW:

For those that are running stock 2 x 38's...I cut the OEM F/A and made an aluminum plate (.040) to cover opening, then used epoxy to seal it all up.

This fits perfect with my girdle head.

yeh im running a Loki head with stock air box, all we had to do was take a notch out of the stock box.
as for the original thread, i think the black boxes are stock and the adapters are made so u can use them because they dont let alot of water in

No, We didn't design them with a taper bore in them as most of the people that order them already have the OEM filter boxes, just made them in two different bore sizes, 44mm;s and 46mm's and 2 lengths std. and long ones (Std. stock cylinder block and tall stroker cylinder blocks. We could taper bore the total set-up, but customer would have to send in their stripped down carbs to us as you would need to machine the taper bore diameter down into the carb stopping at the booster nozzle to make the taper boring beneficial.
