When Group K did my old 750 engine many moons ago, they never engraved it either.

I have seen this engine it does look like a good port job. Everything is smooth and matched right.

hey Steve, post some pictures of the port (exhaust side)

Didn't feel like taking the head off cause it's been a long day, but I took some from the outside...not that you can tell anything from that. I think I was BDC....but I wasn't trying to get it there for the pics.

yes that white ski was STRONG

the orange was weak as hell though.

I think we started calling it the white power ski the weekend that 2002zxi came up here and rode.

WTF? The pumpkin ski was still rockin harder than any of those POS you had!:friday::friday:

I really really miss the white power ski...

i've got a good home for it:icon16:

I have actually thought about trying to stuff it into an X2 somehow after enjoying the couple of rides I have had on DBRutherford's X2. That motor would make an X2 fun as heck to ride!! I'd also really like to find a Blaster with no motor to put it in.........however...everything is always for sale for the right price. :fing02: It's a super strong motor that ain't nowhere close to stock!

Donor ski???

Dude, you're still alive? What's up, the spring air get you thinking about the water again? :Banane25:

I rocked the white power ski on the river yesterday for 3-4 hours. It was a BLAST. It was the second ride I have had this year. The first was a few weeks ago and much colder then. I had e-box issues also. I swapped my cdi out before riding yesterday, and it seemed to cure the problem! The boat is a lot different from when you had it. It has a totally different motor in it now. It's an LPW ported 701 with a lightened flywheel, ADA girdled head, stock 38's with a Riva spacer, and a B pipe with a new mod chamber now. It also has a skat 12-17 impeller on it now with a bored exit nozzle. It has the WCF footholds and the newer turf that I put on it last year. It also has a full UMI steering system on it with zero degree bars and an SE throttle. The boat rocks pretty much as hard with the LPW motor as it did with the other one. I wish I would have tried the 12-17 skat on your motor before I yanked it out. It had a solas 14.7-18.5 in it which is definitely more of a mid/top end prop...not a freestyle prop. I also cut the stock pole down three inches and like it a lot better!

The reason I pulled out the motor is becase I am building another boat. However, plans ended up changing on the new boat, and it's getting a 5 mil Lamey powervavle stroker in it. So....I've got the complete original white power ski motor just sitting in the garage waiting for a new home!

I snapped you some pics of whitey this morning since you wanted to see what it looked like now.

Here's the new '07 that's getting the Lamey with its freshly painted lowered Waterdawg hood and nosepiece.

thats funny.

Oh I remember now, the black boat wasnt running that day.

the black boat with a 650 was much stronger than the orange ski.

that orange boat was sick, I told you that after riding it for 20 seconds, it had a horrible ignition miss when under load.

man, I'm glad someone took apart the white ski motor and saw exactly what was done to it, I never really knew. There was a phenomenal difference between the white and orange skis. I'm looking for a RN now to ride up here at altitude, I didn't even get back to my place on lake of the ozarks but one time last year.:booty::439:

Yeah I am feeling the Brappness of a Yami 701 engine. Before I never wanted one of those conversion plates to do the engine swap but recently I am thinking it would be a pretty simple swap all that is needed is the bed plate, a billet Kawie style drive coupler, FPP B pipe manifold, a B pipe and chamber of your choice, and some Yamaha electrics. You can use the Kawie stuff for the whatever else you need.

That white X2 is getting the engine over here

Yes. I am trying to figure out what exactly has been done to this motor and who has touched it. You were right about the prop in the boat. It had a Solas 14.7-185. I have a skat 12-16 in the boat now, but with a different motor. I never tried it on this motor, but I think it would have hit SUPER hard off idle with the 12-16. I know it was a ROCKET just a hair after you got off bottom. I'm thinking about putting this motor in a blaster or selling it complete.

The head and whole intake system has been off it now. It has carbon tech reeds with R&D stuffers on that R&D manifold with those taper bored dual 44's that seem to be buckshots. The head is super smooth on the 35cc domes, and the cylinder looks pretty good. I don't think I took any pics when I had the head off though.
If you want that engine to come alive then pull the stuffers out of it and you will be pleasntly suprised

Lmfao, he's been banned for quite some time. Hell, look at the dates or under his username.
