I've used a friends electric one from HF and I own the air powered one. The air model is far more powerful but it's also louder. The air model also won't burn out if you use it too long. Electric tools are handy but they are not designed for continuous duty like air tools are. Nothing gets at me more than having free time and a project I want to do and having to wait for a tool to cool down so I can continue using it. Yes the electric one could be used outside your garage but if I break something so bad that I need this, it's probably not fixable at a ride spot. If you have a good air compressor, use it!

Harbor freight is all throw away crap. I get sucked into to buying there stuff sometimes and it always breaks.
The Fein is on sale at Home Depot for $199 today.

Most of the stuff I buy at harbor freight is complete garbage. My Jet ski toolbox is all harbor freight so I can throw them away when they rust up.

I did recently buy a DA from them and it's working great. I greatly prefer working with air tools over electric. Not sure why, maybe because the tool stays cool and doesn't have the weight of it's own motor.

A tool like that is something I might use on something other than a carport project. Buying something like that airpowered is like buy an Airpower drill. They make them, but not sure why you'd buy one. That is a specialty tool. Unlikely it'd be continuous use.
