Other Where can I get 2-1/4 square aluminum tube?

Always just this close
I am trying to modify a bigfoot beachcart for someone and I am having a real hard time finding the 2-1/4" aluminum tube so that I may weld new risers on place.

Anyone know where I can get this?

ANSWER:
Floridasailcraft, the makers of bigfoot beachcart has these specially extruded.
You can order from them by the foot.

Does it have to be 2.25"? If this is going to slide in a hitch or something, what about a 2" tube with a 0.125" plate on each side to fill the gap? Especially since you can weld, you could just tack it at the edges and it would be stronger.

I get all my metal from www.onlinemetals.com. Usually costs less to have it shipped to my house than a similar piece from lowes, home depot, or some other hardware store that sells metal.

McMaster has 2" and 2.5" in 12", 36", and 6' lengths, but I'd just call around some fabrication shops to see if they have any available locally.

If they don't have the size you need on the shelves, they can order it in and have it within a couple days.

Just send me a PM when you would like to have your flywheel and nozzle done.

Chris
