hey whats the difference between solid stop and screw top tim? is there an advantage to either or? usually buy a box of BR8ES once a year. always been screw top.

#7s are OK for rich freestyle carb tune.

advance auto parts has the solid tips. most places carry they but you have to ask. they are also different part number than the screw on tips.

tried to get the bpr8es, at auto zone said they would have to special order theme.

there is no replacment for NGK, br8es most popular for watercraft

The "P" stand for "projected center electrode insulator" The electrode stick out further on the BPRES plug vs BRES plug...So it might hit the top of your piston.....Just run the BR8ES plug and be done with it.

That's your heat ratings...The Higher the number the colder the plug and the lower the number the hotter the plug (thus 8 is hotter then 9)....too hot of plug can cause pre-ignition and to cold of plug will foul out from the gas/oil....most people run 8's including me.

9 is a colder plug

I run B8ES solid top non resistor part # 3683 but that's w/ an enhancer...yep advance auto for solid top NGK's....
