i get to the lake today and there are all these fisherman sitting on lawn chairs fishing on the launch ramp. i politely tell them i need to launch my ski so they are going to need to move for a minute. they get all pissed off and act like i'm a d**k. Gee excuse me for trying to use a launch ramp.:lame: :lame:

The Good Old Days
The way I see it is the people who think fishing is a sport or fun for that matter have a physical affliction (although some say it's all in the mind).

The truth is that holding a stiff fishing rod is all they have left to remind them of the more virile days.

You just forgot the 'People' at the end. Remember, you should never end a sentance with an adjective.:sneaky:

I ran into the same kind of thing at corsons inlet. People fishing off the dock so you could not pull up to it. I drove around and pointed to the sign on the dock that said no fishing. They looked at me like I was doing something wrong.

One guy was fishing by the launch and he was pissed because we were scaring all the fish away...

Out of all the areas along the water, why would anyone pick right next to a launch to fish? Oh well...

I do like the idea to tip off to the DNR

Same here, every now and then. Guys fishing at the Marina outlet and acting annoyed when I ride by.

Being a fisherman myself I do not understand the hatred??? Although if you don't give them their space it can get annoying, I almost got run over by a ski boat when I was out in my float tube. I was waving my arms and screaming as he got closer and closer then he saw me and turned at the last second. He idled back to me--I thought to apologize--when he got back his face was red and he asked me if I had a problem and if I wanted to settle it. . . After I informed him of my problem and I just politely asked if he could leave me a little more space he cursed and yelled at me and then proceeded to drive some donuts around me. Then the water cops showed up :woot: I don't know what his ticket was but they both went back to the boat ramp. . . .

what i like is when you are riding at least 150 feet away from a bass fisherman on his boat he will throw his arms up shaking his fist at you on the ski. another bass fisherman will fly by the same boat at 80 mphs and about 50 feet or closer and they will wave at each other. most fisherman think they own the lake whether on a boat or on the bank.

Yup, on the Croix, we have a place where the river bottle necks and boats are forced into making a two lain, come and go, and fishermen sit in their boats right in the channel and clog up traffic... What a bunch of dicks...

Not all fishermen are bad, just like not all boaters are nice... I have seen both worlds go bad and can see how both need to get shot.
