what's the weight difference SJ over FX1?

Try Hopping back and forth from a 650square to my FX yeah SJ feel like giant tanks in comparison However I do like the bigger pump in the SJ

Well, my 06 is lighter than an fx. With the lamey it feels like a 1x2 with a big block on it. AM hulls all the way!

strictly stock vs stock the pump size is not an issue IMO. The FX1 feels noticeably quicker and lighter.

thats what it is..i think the small pump is ok until you start modding

yeah the keyword was stock. i didnt think it would make much of a difference on a stock ski or else yamaha would have just put them on the fx-1 since they were putting them on the superjets at the time. i have a new head and a b-pipe waiting to go on the ski but wanted to see what the affect the 144 pump would have on a stock ski. i'll put the pipe and head on soon and compare it to my friends ski who has the same pipe and head but with the stock pump.

you will be MORE than happy with the pipe...in fact, with mine I didnt even bother putting a head on it...

granted, mine has a stock pump...Stock compression + bpipe will OWN that little pump..
