Dont think you will see Paul and Kathy putting on another event..

I would love to have another ride at Lanier.........But one without any bells and whistles. Just show up and ride. That the only way I would be involved.

If that truly is the case then tentatively the date for the Lake Martin ride would be May 15,16&17 thats a bout two weeks after the Pensacola ride and two weeks before the Gadsden ride.I think I will officially call it the ALABAMA SLAMMA FREERIDE!

If you slam 3 rides within a month, then you will have very little turnout...... They need to be spaced........... Single guys can make them, But those of us with families need time between rides for other obligations.

Well heres the gig I am very limited on the time of year that it could be held at the State park .After May you can forget getting in there unless you wait till after Labor day,the whole IDEA here is to have enough rides where if you miss one you don't have to wait months to catch another one.I am not too worried about turnout, whoever wants to show up will,if they don't want to they won't,pretty simple, show up ride ,have a good time.I know I will probably be making the Pensacola,Lake Martin and Gadsden rides.

hey Terry, put it on. was not trying to detract from it, just speaking from experience...........

Hey, if 10 people show up, that is less names to have to remember!!!!!!!!!!!

Those are the best anyhow!!!!!!!

It would be sick if we could get a big ride at lanier this year, its so close for me and i havent been out of my little old lake jackson since i started. Although Alabama and florida dont seem like bad drive. Just gotta get me an sj quick!

i would be in for a lanier ride!!i have been there once to visit not to ride and that is one awesome lake..:bananalama:

unfortunately the lake is still ridiculously low so unless the water rises it is probably not even safe to ride on....allatoona would be a better bet even though its smaller...i went to both rides on lanier and allatoona both were a blast

Hmm... Sucks its gotta be so low. I havent seen jackson under a foot below max all year. Only problem its way smaller then lanier and ive only seen one decent size cruiser here

an option

Since Lanier is so low, we could have a ride on Lake Keowee in SC. It is about 1.5 hours from Lanier. It stays full because of the nuke plant. Its a beautiful lake. The Keowee marina or South Cove county park would be great places to start. The Tiki Hut bar/resturant at the marina would be a great place to end it. Plenty of cruisers around. I have a Sea Ray 280 and have friends with a 340 and 360, big wakes. Whats not to like?
