well...everyone here is going to tell you xmetal...except for me..you will definitly want to run a spring so unless you want to fab something up you will want another pole..i like my RRP or a umi...lowered pole bracket..-2 on the pole with a -1 turnplate..you dont need to go shorter than that although allot of people do

basically your best bet is to shorten your stocker 2inches and spend the money on a lowered bracket a good spring and a steering set up so you can run a -1 turnplate...replace your pole once you break it

I like the look of the X metal the best. I am currently using a shortened stock pole that I am waiting to break. So far so good!
I def. want a spring too, so if I go X metal I will have to fab. something.

I posted pics in both my "MY Ski" thread and another thread about using a 750sx spring trimmed down to fit with a x-metal bracket and x-metal pole. So you can run a spring regardless of what others tell you... If I didn't have as much money invested in this pole set up as I already do I would have just switched to a UMI pole.

If I had it to do over again I would do a UMI pole with a carbon 24-7 style chin pad.

my x-metal setup is -5.5" over stock

IMO, AC or if you can afford it, RRP.

umi's seam to break where AC's bend, but AC way cheaper!!!!

XMetal all the way... looks good, built well, and is not that heavy in comparison to other poles out there. The dual bolt system is nice and gives you room to scavenge lots of air through the pole.

I like the billet lowered bracket (Blowsion) with a spring.
Stock pole that is wraped/reinforced is stronger than a UMI pole. imo

But AC's bend everywhere. I have two, and they both looked all twisted and hammered on right out of the box.

That's why I started making my own poles.

X2 - i'm running AC on both my skis. one I cut -4" with XMW turn plate and straight bars, and the other I cut -6" with XMW turn plate and straight bars. They are strong as hell - no complaints from me.

I run one with a spring/single bolt tightened up so it stays where I want it. the other I run the dual bolt setup, no spring and use AC bushings on both the outside and inside of the pole.

alrightie. pry some straight bars too... i hope im gonna like it for Pismo.....
you think jet world might have a bracket and bars in stock? that would be perfect!

i prefer 4deg bars but thats personal preference...i dont think you can use strait bars with your stock turnplate so you will either have to get 0deg or 4deg

see you in pismo
