Whats boring the nozzle and how do you do it?

I have an 07' stock SXR. I'm 17 and need a cheap way of getting some more low end power.

I read a lot lately about boring the stock OEM nozzle from 76mm to 80mm. What does this mean? How do you do it and is it easy?

nope i haven't and probably won't. i run it all stock i just want a wet pipe or something. i'm dying to get some more low end power. i'm 17 and have no money. a job now would net me nothing by the end of the summer. i guess its time to start saving for next season.

anyway my dad or i would have no idea how to adjust everything. it'd be a mess. i hate my stock sxr, no low end, no pick up. actually i love it..its better than all the couches i see in michigan

Ok, that would explain it. I'll bank on it losing top end if it's stock. Curious to hear from Stonefree if he did or not.
What all do you have done to yours?

ada w/35cc domes b pipe msd intake impeller.
if you do freestyle at all youll be able to deal with the loss. its worth it.

Yeah I figured. Better torque to get you going again, and top end is pointless in freestyle I'm sure.

I'm the n00b that has yet to even be on a ski. I have a thread going in general about it, so sad to say I'm still pretty new at this whole thing.

For cheap low end hit. Get your flywheel lightened and your head milled. (Group K or LPW) It might take a couple weeks so I would wait for winter. Until then, timing advance and bore the nozzle. :starwars:
