whats best for a large jet rider (freestyle)

Well I'm near 6'1" 180 pounds and was looking at the most recent pair of goodies 4 freestyle...sxr or superjet Being that im a large rider, thought maybe the size of sxr would be a better balance...though i much prefer the superjet....I use to ride a old skoo kawi no experience with yamaha...any advice is greatly appreciated

Well first of all you are not really that big ! If you want freestyle it is a Superjet if you wanna race it is a SXR. Let the debate begin we have both JMO. Oh and BTW welcome to the X

Lightweight SXR hull with Yami motor and yami 144mm pump sounds like it would be perfect for someone your size!

i´m on my first season riding. i ride a sn Superjet. i´m about 200-220 i think and i have no problem riding it. perfect for my size.
shortend pole makes it awesome.

I faced this same dilemna this year when trying to decide which way to go. I'm 6'3" 210. I figured this being the first boat Ive owned, I would try the kawi based on the size of the tray, out of the box power and handling and I simply liked the lines of the kawi better.

In the long run, I think I will probably go with a SJ based on my riding skills being much better now and the fact that I will be more familiar with getting mods to get her where I need her.

The SXR is a tank but, as mentioned.......cant beat the ease of ride and the out of the box power. I am very content with the kawi.

I may have been a little biased because I had a 94 SXI for a couple of seasons that was left with me and it ran with no more than oil and gas...........I think there is something to be said for the old old kawis still out there on the water......dependability!
